2013 RMU Magical Christmas Express

This year’s show, “The Magical Christmas Express,” features an all-star cast of 24 skaters ready to bring Christmas magic to the ice. The audience members will be transported on the Magical Christmas Express to a “Magical Winter,” “Candy Land,” the “Island of Misfit Toys” and the North Pole. Cara Murphy will open the show as the Winter Fairy skating to “Once Upon a December” followed by routines featuring Pajama Kids and Polar Express Conductor Emmy Francek. Christiana Fragale as Frosty The Snowman, Alexandria Hagan as Jack Frost and Mia Zhang Nacke as Mother Nature will also perform during this act.
The show gets a little sweeter with the next set of performances in “Candy Land” with Anastasia Lestina and Ben McLemore as Candyman and Hershey Kiss skating to “Kiss The Girl” and an adorable collection of Lollipop Girls and Candy Girls dressed as M&Ms, Tootsie Rolls and pepermint twists. From there, it’s off to “The Island of Misfit Toys” and the North Pole where the audience will see Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Lily Zhong) skate alongside Theater on Ice members as a slew of iconic Misfit Toys and soloists Hannah Sharrer, Nadia Ryan-White and Nicole Carlins. Don’t miss a special appearance by Santa Claus! The show concludes with performances by DeAnn Devers as a Snow Angel skating to “Believe,” Elspeth Cunningham as the Magical Express Child skating to “I Believe” and skating school students as elves and Pajama Kids. |
