The Pegula Ice Arena’s Learn to
Skate and Private Lesson Students, the Penn State Collegiate Team, and the Penn
State Figure Skating Club rocked out at the
Pegula Ice Arena this past weekend. The Ice Showcase theme this year was a
tribute to Stadium Rock' N Roll and this year's show was a tremendous success.
62 skaters performed various numbers from The Who, Guns N' Roses,
Beatles, Twisted Sister, Areosmith, and Queen. The show was well received by
all who attended. This year's directors were Beth Anne Eckert, Krista Miller
and Dena Yeagley.
The Penn State Figure Skating Club was founded in 1961 and has been a part of the US Figure Skating association for over 52 years. They have a tradition of producing many talented skaters who went onto tour in Ice Shows, compete at Nationals, or become lifelong coaches.
