Congratulations to all the competitors at this year's competition! There was a lot of great skating, and all skaters should be very proud. We would like to say thank you to all of our volunteers, without you our competition would not be possible. Congratulations to the winning teams at the Newark Spring Open, in first place is Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena, and in second is North Park! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

2014 Season
The ISI District 7 Skating Championships concluded this weekend at the Lou & Gib Reese Ice Arena. 2014 ISI Newark Spring Open was the last stop of the 6 competitions for 2013-2014 season. It was a very exciting weekend of skating with over 200 kids participating from Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Goggin Ice Center came in first place with 757.5 points, 2nd place went to LGRIA with 549.5 points, and 3rd went to North Park with 220 points. The overall 2013-2014 District 7 Series Team Winner was Goggin Ice Center with 3301 points, 2nd place went to Youngstown Skating Club. In the individual freestyle event, the Grand Champion with 291 points went to Katie Hill. Runner-ups in this year’s competition were Kalie Barber, Kaylie Barber & Katrina Taylor. In the Beginner event the Grand Champion was Elizabeth Hudak with 114 points. The adult Champion was Pamela Schaible of Goggin Ice Center.
