The West Side Rowing Club held their annual Head of the Niagara and Wright Regatta last weekend. Hundreds turned out to watch local University and High School rowers compete. The course is along the scenic Niagara River in the Black Rock Canal. Rowers would endure a 2.5 mile run under both the Ferry Street Lift and the Peace Bridge. Some of the teams that competed this year were City Honors School, Mount St Mary's Academy, Nardin Academy, Nichols School, St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and West Side Juniors. It was a perfect day for rowing and congratulations to all the competitors that competed. A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers that made the Head of Niagara such a huge success.
